Firmness and Feel

When you are looking for the ideal mattress, the firmness and feel are just some of its most crucial aspects. How firm is the Saatva Classic on your body? How firm can the Saatva Classic?

Saatva Classic Saatva Classic has three varying levels of firmness: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm and Firm. What is the best choice for you depends on the individual’s experience and personal conditions. However, if you’d like to know about it firsthand We’ve put all three one of three Saatva Classic versions to the test to see how it fares on our firmness scale, ranging from 1 to 10.

We started the experiment off using the Plush Soft mattress, which we’ve rated 3 out of 10. One thing we’ve noticed right off the bat is how it felt so comfortable while sleeping sideways facing the pillow the top. We felt as if we were getting the body hug by this model of the Saatva Classic thanks to its softer foundation compared with other foundations. But, the more flexible feel may not translate well for those who rest flat, whether on their stomachs or their back. Saatva Below Zero

Next up, we have the Firm variant, which is a stark opposite to Plus Soft in terms of materials and rigidity. We barely felt our bodies sinking into the mattress – the version surely is up to the hype! It is particularly beneficial for those who sleep flat on their stomachs or backs because it provides more visible support. Certain people might have problems regarding sleeping on the side. But despite this we rate this item an excellent 8/10.

In the case of the Premium Firm version One of the first things we observed was how soft it felt on the pillow top. The coils which keep the mattress in place are more firm, making this variant of the Saatva mixed in terms of construction. In this case, as we lay on our backs and slept, we not only have the proper amount of sinking as well as the support that we needed. The same could be said for sleeping on the stomach, but what about side sleeping? Depending on the different personal experiences, it could be unpredictable. On that note we rate the Luxury Firm mattress a 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale.

Testing with varying body weights

Apart from the firmness test, we’ve also experimented with how different body weights react sleeping on three versions that comprise the Saatva Classic. We’ll start with The Plush Soft mattress. It is made of a less sturdy coil foundation and an even softer pillow top, it’s no wonder why it’s a favorite among light-weights. People who weigh between 130 and 200 pounds might appreciate the body-hugging and sinking feeling that comes with the Plush Soft, but heavyweights might have an issue. Saatva Below Zero

The firm mattress could be too stiff for people with a weight of less than 175lbs, but in the case of those more than that, this mattress is probably the more suitable option. With a stronger foundation across, the Firm variant offers the most stable support when sleeping on the stomach or back, specifically with heavyweights. For those who weigh less, they may find lying on the bed to be somewhat uncomfortable, as there is no soft foam surface to ease this.

For this Luxury Firm mattress, most of its features are enough to cover a wide range of weight a person can carry. If you’re either someone who weighs 130lbs and 250 pounds you’ll feel a sense of ease and comfort while lying flat on your back when you sleep on this kind of mattress. Stomach sleepers may enjoy this as well, although it could require more support for heavier folks. For side sleepers it’s generally suitable for most body weights although it can be a bit of a hit-or-miss.

Performance

What is the way that this Saatva Classic fare in terms of performance? From motion transfers to durability and even how it behaves during private moments. We delved further into the depths to test its capabilities. These are the results!

Motion Isolation and Transfer

The Saatva is not the best in its motion isolation, compared with other hybrid mattress. The foam that is built into is less than half an inch, but the mattress still manages to absorb an impressive amount of movement thanks to its high-tech fiber fill. Two of the more firm options might not be effective in separating motions. The Plush Soft variant, however performs a bit better when compared to.

If you’re in a romantic relationship, and you’re looking forward to a mattress where one of you moves , and you don’t have to be able to tell, the Saatva Classic may not be the most suitable. We tested it for motion transfers and we noticed that one of our team members slowly became distracted when the other member began making movements – from minor to moderate , and then high-intensity. Innerspring mattresses have been notorious for their poor absorption of motion, and the Saatva is made up of innerspring components. It may as well be a bad mattress choice for you, particularly if you’re a light sleeper who’s frequently disturbed.

Pressure Relief

Pressure relief refers to the mattress’s ability to ease out the tension that is felt by the body’s pressure points. We determined the Saatva’s pressure relief levels by laying out an image of pressure on its surface. Upon receiving the results, it’s revealed that the mattress, in three different levels of firmness offers excellent pressure relief at the back. For shoulder and hip points, this can vary depending on a range of factors including the level of firmness as well as personal circumstances and weight. Saatva Below Zero

Temperature Control

Its Saatva Classic mattress may be numerous things, but we can’t deny that this is one of the best that has incredible cooling capabilities. It has two layers of spring coil, and one of them is pocketed. The structural frame permits air to circulate throughout the mattress, eventually cooling people who typically rest hot. Not only is it able to cool down temperatures however, the pillow’s cover is made from organic cotton, making Saatva Classic Saatva Classic more breathable than other hybrid beds that are made from memory foam. This is an ideal cooling mattress for those who live in near-tropical conditions, and for couples who, when they share a bed, can heat the bed more quickly than a single person.

Edge Support

Edge support is the measure of the strength of edge support is the way that the mattresses’ edges can hold up. For the Saatva Classic, the edges are incredibly strong. In our tests, we found that they were noticeably sturdy enough to allow individuals to rest near the edges without worrying much about sagging, sinkage, and falling off the mattress. This is caused by a foam encasement that’s wrapped around the coil layers in the mattress. The sturdiness may vary depending on the firmness level that are present in the Saatva. Couples like this will not feel too much sinking on either the Firm or Luxury Firm options but may be able to feel a little discomfort around the edges when using Plush Soft. Plush Soft. Also heavier people might experience more sinkage than lighter ones.

Sex

In the event that you or your companion are both sexually active, it’s crucial to find a mattress that can respond with ease when having intimate moments. That’s where Saatva Classic comes in, offering a great combination of both flexibility and responsiveness, which makes it optimized for a wide range of sexual activities. The pillow top is shaped to bodies when they are in to the bed’s surface, and the innerspring foundation allows the bed to be buoyant enough to permit movement however not so loud as to create the irritating squeaking sound. The strong edge support allows the couples to take full benefit of the entire area of Saatva. Although this Plush Soft comfort level may provide a little traction for sex but it did not feel as comfortable compared to its more firm counterparts.

Off-gassing

The Saatva Classic is made out of synthetic foam. But the thing that sets it apart from other mattresses is the fact that it doesn’t take up much in the bed. This means that it doesn’t smell as bad after the purchase and delivery. When we received the Saatva mattresses for testing, we noticed how, instead of the standard cardboard box the delivery staff arrived to put the mattress for us. We also examined the way it released less of the typical “fresh mattress smell” in comparison to similar mattresses, which went away quite quickly – this may be due to the way the mattress was made. Saatva Below Zero

Mobility

The Saatva has been shown to have better ease of movement when compared to other hybrid mattresses, thanks to the unique combination of innersprings and polyfoam that is employed as the foundation for its structure. The mattress is bonded with the shape of the user when they lay down on the floor and then returns to its original form quickly after they have left it. For comparison, mattresses with a memory foam top are shaped to fit the body as normal, however the feeling of being ‘trapped in a comfortable environment is stronger and makes it difficult for the user to get out.

Noise

The innerspring beds have received an unpopular image over the years for their irritating noisesthat gradually become worse with each use. Its Saatva Classic, on the contrary, doesn’t fit into this category. As we’ve mentioned earlier, the mattress’s inner structure contains the encasement of foam wrapped around the coil systems. Not only does it provide solid support along the edges, but it also reduces the sound that coils usually produce. We tried shifting positions and moving around on the mattress, we noticed that less noise and squeaking produced. However, as the Saatva mattress is supported by coils it isn’t likely to have the noise-free capability to last forever.

Durability

We’ve managed to test all of the tests of performance for Saatva Classic, we can conclude that it is a great mattress. Saatva Classic mattress, the only thing we need to think about is these questions: “How durable is the Saatva? How long will it be expected for to stand the test of time?” Considering the high-grade quality of the materials and structure and the way it performs when it comes to relief, comfort, and motion as well, the Saatva is expected to be sturdy enough to last up to about 7-10 years.

Materials

Saatva Classic Saatva Classic is composed of at least four layers, each with unique abilities. However, when they’re taken together, they make a strong, durable as well as bouncy and solid hybrid mattress that can be used to serve any purpose.
